I had a big pool leak somewhere but I couldn’t see any signs myself. Two engineers, Matt and Conor, arrived promptly and set about testing all the individual circuits, as well as the liner itself. Within a short time, the location of the leak was found and they removed the section of concrete floor and replaced the piece of pipe that was leaking. Excellent, professional job and both engineers were very pleasant to talk with. From first contact, we knew we had struck lucky. The lady on the phone was very professional and put us at ease straight away. They quickly worked around our busy work schedules and the engineer was booked. Mark Jones arrived 15 minutes before the time slot (which is a first we have ever experienced) and quickly got to work. He had an array of equipment to help pin-point our issues, he worked methodically and tested each and everyone of our systems (which is not easy). Then he performed key hole surgery to minimise the damage to the floor. Once he fixed the leak, he then tested the system again just to make sure he had found the problem. Brett worked methodically through the ground floor and eventually located a 'suspect' leak and a definite leak. There was insufficient time left in the day to remedy the leak, so another appointment was made for Brett and a colleague to return. Again he was prompt and got straight to work. The leak was fixed and the suspect leak re-evaluated and found to be OK. Gas testing followed and then a pressure test for an hour and a half, which suggested that the leak problem had been solved. She laid out the process very simply and honestly, and also highlighted the risks that the leak may not be detected. The engineer on site was a very pleasant gentleman named Mark Jones, he was thorough and explained every step. The leak was very small and not particularly obvious to spot, but Mark worked methodically using all different tools in his disposal and after a few hours it was found. I can’t speak for the firm as a whole, but my personal experience was very positive. They worked tirelessly to test, detect leaks, fit new pipes and reconnect my pool system. The work required navigating a complex underground pipe network and careful groundwork to fit new pipes. Conor provided excellent advice before and during their visit with a clear focus on quality not just doing a bodge job (for example I thought that using new flexi pipes might be easier because the path for the new pipes was not straight or running at the same levels. Conor explained that more rigid pool pipes are better quality and will last longer with less risk of leaks and he reassured me that they would be easy enough to fit). Matt then helped to adjust the size of the trench to ensure the new pipes fitted perfectly. A really quality job from two guys who clearly know their trade and take pride in their work. Paul found our leak really quickly with no mess and little disruption to our floor. We had already had a few trades men out looking for the leak but nobody could find it. Even though the water had flooded under the floorboards causing us much distress, the actual leak was easily stopped, which Paul did then and there at no extra cost. Called another company to find out via a Drainage survey that the drainage pipes we suspected and told them to survey, were actually cracked and caused the issue. Now getting fixed with another company but what a total waste of £570 to ADI for a 1/2 survey with deductions and not actual testing. They won't refund the cost of their incompetence either. Our first call out required 2 engineers and cost us £1,200. No leak was found but finger of suspicion pointed at the boiler. Because there was no leak found we could not claim on insurance !!! Boiler then checked extensively with no issues found. An isolation pressure test showed conclusively that leak was in the system, not the boiler. ADI called out again. Only £600 this time as it was a repeat visit. Mark and Matt were brilliant. Leak traced and repaired. Real shame the leak was not traced on the first visit. It should have been. ADI were quick to respond unlike the larger national company I phoned first. Mark found the leak and repaired it, and was very pleasant and professional, and provided a comprehensive report to pass on to the insurance company. However leak detection services are expensive, and ADI ask for payment up front, so I would highly recommend checking your insurance company will cover Trace and Access before calling them. Got very rude and aggressive. If you need a leak detecting use POLYGON they actually do what they say they do and don't lie about tests carried out. Made no effort to discuss the leak with my parents, who have lived in the house for over 40 years, to get an understanding of where the leak could be coming from. Failed to find anything and communication was non-existent. Still insisted on full payment as no win no fee has loads of get outs, including anything to do with Central Heating pipework. Look elsewhere if you want an effective job
