They were able to send their engineer, Kristof, on the same day. Kristof was very professional from start to finish. He found the source of the leak under the bathroom floor, clearly showed me on the camera where it was coming from, and explained that there was no direct access to the pipe, meaning the bathroom floor would need to be cut to reach it. He then carefully carried out the work, cut the floor for access, replaced the section of pipe that was in poor condition and causing the leak, tested everything, and finally put everything back neatly. He left after 4 hours of thorough investigation then sent me videos of his findings later that evening. After a bit of arranging (and being let down by another company) I decided to go ahead with ADI. I was in contact with a lady called Caroline who was very friendly and accommodated my date availability, avoiding my birthday, for the work to go ahead. The engineer who attended was a lovely man name Artur, he was on time, which is sometimes a rarity these days, and even thought struggled to find the leak initially he never gave me any doubt that he could fix it. With leak fixed, he gave me advice on next steps to rectify the damaged caused by the leak and made the area he worked in neat and tidy before he left. The nature of the job meant that it was not straightforward and it took a while to locate the leak. He took time to refit as much as possible and then tidied up after himself with a lot less redecorating needed than I anticipated. I was very happy with the work done and professionalism of the engineer. My wife is just happy to have the heating working again! I then asked if it possibly could be from the shower room (previously shown to him), after me explaining and showing how I think the leak may be from here, he agreed that very likely it would have been there (I have no professional experience in these things). He then proceeded to put some die down the drain and said “leave it a couple of days and if the ceiling stains then that is where the leak is from”. So bottom line, I am no where closer to knowing where the leak is coming from, than where I was before, and I got charged just below of £900. Money down the drain, literally! Waste of time and money, don’t bother, this is a professional scam. At least I had the common sense to not let him rip off the bathroom tiles… wish I had the common sense when I called to book the appointment. Also almost forgot, he took the bathtub side panel off to investigate, didn’t even seal it back on, just left it there unsealed. Not even back to what it was. Very annoyed with myself. After around three hours he found the leak under the solid floor under their kitchen units. I believe it was quite a complex case. My water supply system is not easy. I live on a slope & the water meter is 20 metres from the property so the leak I had could have been anywhere down that slope under the drive. Arthur checked out the stopcocks in the kitchen & the garage and proceeded to do all the relevant checks. It turned out to be a pipe that had a split buried under 600mm of sharp stone & thick concrete in my porch. Not an easy think to find & he then fixed it. The engineer came on 12.03.2026 and after 4 hours of searching without success he left without repairing anything. The next day another £200 was withdrawn from my bank account for "access"??. Contacted Adileakdetection by phone they said they would make a report and send it.. a 100% fake report was sent after 4 days, a report that I contested with video/photo evidence showing that they did not find the source (I still have water leaks and a damaged wall, they did not repair and in addition I paid the amount of £966). The answer is AMAZING "we found the source and we won't come back until you pay again (another £966??????) I am now in the process of going legal, gathering all the necessary evidence to recover the money. This is not a serious company and is not recommended.Not happy at ALL with their decision .They take the money and they not accept reality.Do not let yourself be cought by their fraud! We have report templates for each of the investigation types we offer (pipework/swimming pool etc) and our engineers populate these with the test results and evidence found at each specific property. In your case, we found multiple leaks due to poor installation. We hope to hear back from you regarding the bank details in due course.
